The recording of the album was documented on a series of four TV shows commissioned by Channel 4. The shows, which were made by Tough Cookie (part of Whizz Kid Entertainment), included fly-on-the-wall footage of the making of the album and interviews with the artists as well as exclusive live performances from a specially organised Independents Day 08 gig at London’s Cargo.
MTV 2 will also be airing seven hours of music videos from 10 independent labels, which will be followed by a 120 minute ‘Independents Day’ special feature.
XFM programmed label documentaries, which aired over the weekend of 4th July which included interviews with key independent music industry representatives and artists.
